Everyday operation - raising and collapsing the SPLIT TOPS cover - is very simple and becomes a routine after a couple of times. After you unlock the top, raising both halves does not require any special strength - gas shocks on the opposite side (cab side) will assist in opening the cover. After raising the sides you'll climb in and swing the cage frames out of their position inside of each door. They are secured by steel pins. Naturally, you'll swing out the cab side frame first and then put the tail frame in its place. And that's it - Your truck is ready for some serious hauling. and it took less than a minute.
